This machine features both vertical and horizontal spindles, Maho CNC 432 graphic control, and 28� x 18� x 20� capacity. (Installed new 5/86.)

1 MATSUURA MC-1000VS 4 Axis CNC Machining Center
This machine is equipped with a 4th + 5th axis 4 spindle positioner so that 4 pieces may be processed at once through 5 axis of motion. This machine features a 25 station automatic tool changer, 15 HP/6000 RPM spindle, and 40� x 20� x 18� capacity. (Installed new 3/84.)

Electrical Discharge Machining Equipment

1 MITSUBISHI FX10 5 Axis Submerged Type Wire EDM with PM2 Control This machine is equipped with the fixed C-shaped table, AF3 automatic wire-feed device, fine hole search, automatic water level, as well as a dielectric fluid temperature control unit. The machining range of this machine is 13.77� x 9.84� x 8.66�. (Installed new 1997.)

This turning center has a 15 HP / 3,600 RPM main spindle and a 5 HP / 3,000 RPM rotating spindle for live tooling. Tool capacity of 22 tools with a 10 station turret and a 12 station automatic tool changer, chip conveyor and Yasnac Seiki Multi L control.(Installed new 3/00 and 3/96)

CNC Swiss Style Turning Centers

2 STAR KNC-3211 Swiss Type, 7 Axis, Sliding Headstock CNC Screw Machine. This screw machine has a 60-6000 RPM spindle with sub spindle for automatic back side machining. Special Y axis and milling attachments for off center milling and cross drilling. Main and 32mm bar capacity. (Installed new 11/97 + 7/94.)

1 STAR KJR-16 Swiss Type, 5 Axis, Sliding Headstock CNC Screw Machine. This screw machine has a 60-6000 RPM spindle with sub spindle for automatic back side machining, milling and cross drilling attachments, main and sub spindles have live tooling capability, 2 YASNAC controls, and 16mm bar capacity. (Installed new 2/92.)

Grinding Equipment

MITSUBISHI RC32 CNC Angled Wheel Cylindrical Grinder.
This machine has a FANUC 16G control and 12" x 18" capacity.

1 OKAMOTO MODEL 820 CNC Profile Grinding Machine. This machine has a FANUC 11 MA control and 8" x 18" capacity. (Installed new 7/87.)

1 OKAMOTO MODEL 1632 DX II Hydraulic Surface Grinder.
This machine has fully automatic grinding and wheel dressing cycles, magnetic chip separator, and 16" x 32" capacity. (Installed new 4/90.)

Miscellaneous

1 MESSMA-KELCH DIGITAL TOOL PRESETTING MACHINE
This machine is used to preset all turning and milling tools. Tool length data is sent to our DNC computer electronically for storage. Tool offsets are loaded electronically along with the part program to specific machines as required. (Installed new 4/89.)

Inspection Equipment

1 ZEISS MC 850 UNIVERSAL MEASURING CENTER
The MC 850 is a bridge type coordinate measuring machine with lateral bridge drive. The MC 850 is fully computerized and provides 3-axis vectorial control, manual control via joy stick, electronic probe monitoring in all axes, and automatic probe change. The MC 850 has a 33� (X), 47� (Y), 24� (Z) measuring range with a .000020� resolution and +/- .000040� accuracy. (Installed 5/93.)

1 OGP QL-20 IN-LINE CONTOUR PROJECTOR
The QL-20 is a floor type optical comparator with a 20� diameter screen, a heavy duty 8� x 32� helix table assembly with zero position stop, infinitely variable speed power drive on both horizontal and vertical axes, and CNC table positioning. The QL-20 has an automatic electronic centerline system for detection of shadow edges, a computerized inspection controller, and a Hewlett Packard 9315C CNC controller and process analysis system. The QL-20 has a resolution of .000020� and an accuracy of +/- .00015�. (Installed 1/89.)

MARPOSS MULTIDIMENSIONAL GAGING SYSTEM
Quick setting fixture combined with 8 electronic amplifier microprocessor columns, allow inspection of up to 8 features on any shaft measuring up to 4� diameter and 24� long. This gage has a resolution of 5 millionths of an inch and repeatability of 40 millionths of an inch. Electronic output allows automated data collection for SPC. (Installed new 6/95.)

1 MITUTOYO AE 122 MODEL 4-S COORDINATE MEASURING MACHINE
The AE 122 is a medium sized, general purpose bridge type CMM having a 29� (X), 24� (Y) surface plate with a 12� (Z0 range, .0001� resolution, and +/- .0002� accuracy. The AE 122 also has a Hewlett Packard 9815A interface system providing visual display, output to a printer, and a remote keyboard. (Installed 10/80.)

Machine Specialities also utilizes an exhaustive collection of micrometers, gages, calipers, precision rings and various other miscellaneous inspection and quality control tools.

Computer Systems

1 PARAMETRIC TECHNOLOGIES PRO/ENGINEER SYSTEM The Pro/E software runs on Win2000 workstations . Pro/E provides the capability to generate machine programs for 3, 4 and 5 axis, simultaneous or independent, machining on multiple parts with 'real time' machine tool simulation. We can also accept customer CAD files in native Pro/E, IGES, STEP, and other standard formats via internet or disk.

1 VANTAGE SHOP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The Vantage system is an integrated, comprehensive software system designed specifically for manufacturers. This system operates on our Win2000 network and provides precise control and documentation of all phases of the manufacturing process from the receipt of a request for quote through manufacturing, inventory, and all accounting functions. Shop floor data collection is an integral component of Vantage, enabling graphical scheduling, bar coding, and the ability to reflect detailed, real-time answers regarding work in process.

Building

We are housed in a well maintained, fully air conditioned plant located in Greensboro, NC near the Triad International Airport.

The original 8,000 sq. ft. building was completed in February, 1978. An additional 4,000 sq. ft. of production and warehouse space was completed in 1985. An additional 8,600 sq. ft. of production floor space was completed in June, 1992. 700 sq. ft. of this expansion was for an expanded, individually climate controlled inspection facility.

Equipment Purchase Policy

It is our policy to maintain a vigorous machine upgrade program to guarantee that our capabilities are always 'state-of-the-art'. We buy no used equipment, all equipment listed was purchased new.
